Enforcement Directorate Teams have reached Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren's residence in Ranchi for questioning in a money laundering case linked to an alleged land scam case. Previously, Hemant Soren evaded all the summons by the probe agency. Security has been beefed up outside his residence and also outside the ED’s zonal office.

Meanwhile, tribal organisations in Jharkhand staged a protest in front of Raj Bhavan in response to the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) actions against Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Thousands of tribal community members donned traditional attire and wielded drums, bows, and arrows, the protesters marched from Morabadi ground to Raj Bhavan. Holding Sarna flags and banners declaring 'Central government should come to its senses,' protestors raised slogans against the alleged harassment of the tribal Chief Minister.

Chants of 'Central Government should come to its senses' echoed, calling the Central Investigation Agency's summons as politically motivated. Tribal organisations labelled the actions as a conspiracy against the tribal CM, and warned of escalating protests, drawing parallels to previous incidents just as stones were used in Kolkata, bows and arrows will be used in Jharkhand. People from various areas of Ranchi including Khunti, Tamad, and Bundu came to protest.

Central Sarna Committee President, Ajay Tirkey, alleged that the investigative agency’s actions are an attempt to harass and destabilise Hemant Soren, suggesting a political motive behind the ED's involvement. He stated that if the Chief Minister faced any harm, the state of Jharkhand would witness severe repercussions.

Tribal Sena President Ajay Kachhap accused the central government of targeting the tribal Chief Minister through investigative agencies and cautioned against conspiracies. The protestors urged the Governor to refrain from acting as an agent of the Center, warning of consequences if such actions persisted.
