In a major boost to rail connectivity for Sahibganj district, residents can now look forward to easier and more frequent travel to the national capital, Delhi. Starting this month, two Rajdhani Express trains will operate via Sahibganj every week, following the successful introduction of the Tejas Rajdhani Express last year.
PM Modi To Flag Off Rajdhani Trains
The new Sairang–Anand Vihar Rajdhani Express (Train No. 02057) will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at 10:00 AM on September 13. This weekly train will commence its first run on Sunday, September 14, arriving at Sahibganj at 12:35 pm and departing just two minutes later at 12:37 pm, proceeding via Bhagalpur to Anand Vihar Terminal, Delhi.
From September 19, this train will begin regular weekly operations under train numbers 20507/20508.

Check Weekly Schedule
According to the Indian Railways’ newly released timetable:
1. Sairang-Anand Vihar Rajdhani Express
- Arrival at Sahibganj: Every Saturday at 4:53 pm
- Departure: 4:55 pm
- Arrival at Anand Vihar: Next day after a journey of approximately 17 hours and 45 minutes
2. Anand Vihar-Sairang Rajdhani Express
- Arrival at Sahibganj: Every Monday at 1:46 pm
- Departure: 1:48 pm
Tejas Rajdhani Continues Weekly Run
In addition to the new service, the Agartala–Anand Vihar Tejas Rajdhani Express continues to serve Sahibganj:
- Arrival at Sahibganj: Every Tuesday at 4:53 pm
- Departure: 4:55 pm
- Arrival at Anand Vihar: Next day at 10:50 AM
- Journey Duration: 17 hours and 55 minutes
The return journey from Anand Vihar to Agartala departs every Wednesday at 7:50 pm , reaching Sahibganj at 1:46 pm on Thursday.
