Ramgarh Violence: Immersion procession of idols of the Goddess Saraswati witnessed violence in Jharkhand's Ramgarh district. A senior officer on Tuesday said at least four policemen and 15 people were injured in a stone-pelting incident during immersion, prompting action by the security forces.
10 People Have Been Arrested
According to police, cops have arrested ten people in connection with the violence that occurred in Lari village under the Rajrappa Police Station limits on Monday night.

Ramgarh Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Parmeshwar Prasad said the violence triggered when onduty police personnel tried to maintain law and order and told people to follow the norms.
“During the idol immersion in Lari village, the crowd turned violent when police personnel tried to maintain law and order. The people who participated in the immersion processions suddenly started hurling stones at police personnel, resulting in injuries to four security men and at least 15 people," Prasad stated.
Steels Factory Robbed In Ramgarh
A few days ago, a group of robbers forcibly entered the Dayal Steels Factory and carried out a robbery, creating panic among locals. The robbers took the staff present at the factory hostage and looted the firm.
During the incident, copper wire and other materials worth around Rs 30–40 lakh were looted. Following the crime, an FIR was registered.
Ramgarh SP Ajay Kumar said, "On the night of 12 January, between approximately 1:30 am and 2:00 am, 10–12 unidentified persons forcibly entered the Dayal Steels Factory and carried out a robbery. During the incident, copper wire and other materials worth around ₹30–40 lakh were looted. Following this, an FIR was registered on my instructions. Under the leadership of Ramgarh Police Station In-charge and his entire team, continuous efforts were made for nearly 10 days," he adde.
