Jharkhand Weather: India Meteorological Department (IMD)’s regional centre in Ranchi has forecast cold waves in 17 districts across Jharkhand's northwest, adjacent central, and southern regions for three days, January 13, 14, and 15. The IMD has issued a yellow alert in this regard.

Meanwhile, the temperature in McCluskieganj, which had been below zero for the past three days, rose to 1 degree Celsius on Monday, bringing some relief to residents. It has become difficult for people to venture out early in the morning. The cold has resulted in fog and frost in the district.

In the last 24 hours, dry conditions prevailed throughout the state. Light to moderate fog was observed at isolated locations. Chaibasa recorded the highest maximum temperature of 28.8 degrees Celsius, while McCluskieganj recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 1 degree Celsius.

Meanwhile, Kanke recorded a high of 3.3 degrees Celsius, Gumla 3.6 degrees Celsius, and the capital Ranchi recorded a high of 22.7 degrees Celsius and a low of 8.5 degrees Celsius. Meteorologist Abhishek Anand said that light to moderate fog or mist will occur at isolated places throughout the state, followed by mostly clear skies. The weather will remain dry.

He said that on January 13, 14 and 15, there will be a possibility of cold wave in the northwestern region of the state, Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra and Latehar, southern region, East and West Singhbhum, Simdega and Saraikela Kharsawan, besides the nearby central districts of Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Gumla, Bokaro, Khunti, Lohardaga, Koderma and Dhanbad, for which the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert.

Ranchi Temperature For Next 4 Days

January 13: Maximum 22 degrees and minimum 6 degrees Celsius
January 14: Maximum 21 degrees and minimum 6 degrees Celsius
January 15: Maximum 21 degrees and minimum 6 degrees Celsius
January 16: Maximum 22 degrees and minimum 7 degrees Celsius

Meanwhile, the Kanke block area continued to experience a cold wave for the past 24 hours. On Monday, the maximum temperature in Kanke was recorded at 20.4 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature dropped to 3.3 degrees Celsius. According to IMD, the cold is expected to persist in the coming days.
