Bengaluru Power Cut Today: The Bangalore Electricity Distribution Company (BESCOM) has announced a shutdown in several areas on Tuesday in view of maintenance works on the 66 kV line at the Banaswadi substation. BESCOM has urged residents to plan their day in advance to avoid inconvenience during the shutdown.

As per BESCOM, the shutdown began at 10:00 am and will continue till 2:00 pm. BESCOM stated that supply will be restored if works are completed ahead of schedule.

In another news, a dentistry student was found dead at her residence in Bengaluru’s Chandapura area on Monday, with her family alleging that she faced prolonged mental harassment from faculty members at her college.

The student, identified as Yashaswini, was pursuing dental studies. Her mother has filed a complaint stating that several lecturers allegedly subjected her to public humiliation in classrooms. According to the complaint, remarks were made about Yashaswini’s skin colour in front of other students, which caused her distress.
