Jharkhand Weather: The Meteorological Center, Ranchi, has stated that a coldwave is expected to hit the northwestern region of Jharkhand, including Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, and Latehar, on November 10 and 11. A yellow alert has been issued in this regard.
Apart from this, the northeastern region, including Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Pakur, Jamtara, Sahibganj, and Giridih, will also experience increased cold. Meanwhile, the effects of mild cold have begun in the nearby central regions, including Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Gumla, Bokaro, and Khunti.
According to the weather body, from November 10 to 13, mornings will be foggy or misty, followed by mostly clear skies and dry weather. During this period, minimum temperatures in the state will gradually drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.
After this, no major change in temperature is expected for the next three days. Meteorologist Abhishek Anand said that temperatures in the capital, Ranchi, could drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next three to four days, and the minimum temperature could drop below 10 degrees.
He has advised people to remain alert. According to the weather body, the weather remained dry in the entire state during the last 24 hours. The highest maximum temperature of 31.8 degrees Celsius was recorded in Chaibasa while the lowest minimum temperature of 9.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Khunti. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature of the capital Ranchi was recorded at 25.4 degrees Celsius and the minimum at 11.8 degrees Celsius.
