Jharkhand Weather Update: Active monsoon showers have been lashing Ranchi and surrounding districts for the last ten days. According to the Meteorological Center, Ranchi a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in many areas of the northwestern part of Jharkhand including Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Koderma, Latehar and Lohardaga as well as the adjoining central part Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Gumla, Bokaro and Khunti as well as the southern part including East and West Singhbhum, Simdega and Saraikela Kharsawan.A flash flood warning has been issued for these districts till 5.30 pm on Monday.
As per the forecast, there is a possibility of strong winds blowing at a speed of 30-40 km per hour along with thunder and lightning in many parts of the state. The weather body has also issued a yellow alert for lightning along with thunder at some places in the state on July 8, 9 and 10.
According to Meteorologist Abhishek Anand, there is a strong possibility of light to moderate rain in most parts of the state on July 7 and 8. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunderstorms at some places in the state on July 9 and 10. This situation is likely to prevail till July 12.

Jharkhand Weather In Last 24 Hours
The monsoon activity was normal in the state over the last 24 hours. Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms was recorded at almost all places while heavy rain occurred at some places. The highest rainfall of 90.2 mm was recorded in Chandwa of Latehar.
The highest maximum temperature of 33.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Saraikela while the lowest minimum temperature of 21.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Gumla. The maximum temperature of the capital Ranchi was 28.2 degrees while the minimum was 23.4 degrees Celsius.
