IMD Weather Update: The southwest monsoon is continuing to withdraw from parts of the country, bringing rainfall and thunderstorms to several states. In its daily weather bulletin, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rainfall across southern, eastern and northeastern states on Sunday, with thunderstorms and lightning likely in parts of the Northeast.
Rainfall Forecast
According to the IMD, several northeastern states are likely to receive isolated to scattered rainfall today. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura may see rain during the day. The IMD has also forecast thunderstorms and lightning over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on Sunday. Rain is also likely over parts of West Bengal, Odisha, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The IMD has forecast isolated to scattered rainfall over West Bengal, Sikkim and Odisha.
IMD Forecast For South India
Several southern states are likely to see rain on Sunday. The IMD has forecast rainfall over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, and Lakshadweep. Kerala is also likely to receive rainfall on Sunday

Delhi-NCR Weather Today
According to the IMD, Delhi-NCR is likely to see drier weather conditions as the southwest monsoon has completely withdrawn from the region. With declining rainfall activity and cloud cover, temperatures are expected to remain stable over the next few days. During the past 24 hours, Delhi recorded minimum temperatures between 20 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius, while maximum temperatures ranged from 34 degrees Celsius to 37 degrees Celsius.
The IMD has forecast no significant change in maximum temperatures over the next three days. However, temperatures are likely to drop by 1-2 degrees Celsius thereafter, indicating a gradual change towards cooler conditions in the region.

Monsoon Withdrawal Continues
Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon continues to retreat from different parts of the country. The IMD has said conditions are becoming favourable for further withdrawal from some more areas of Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Karnataka over the next few days.
