Jharkhand Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday stated that several districts of Jharkhand are likely to receive light to heavy rainfall till June 5. The weather department stated that along with rainfall, these districts are also expected to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds. The IMD also stated that the rainfall will reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing major relief from scorching heat. The weather department also advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid inconveniences.

The weather department stated that a low-pressure area is going to develop in the northwest Bay of Bengal, leading to light to heavy rainfall in multiple districts. The weather department stated that several districts, including Deoghar, Dhanbad, Godda, Giridih, Jamtara, Pakur, and Sahibganj, are likely to receive rainfall along with thunderstorms till June 5.

Apart from this, a major portion of the state is expected to witness cloudy skies and thunderstorms on June 3. The IMD stated that Bokaro, Saraikela, and Kharsawan districts are likely to witness heavy rainfall on May 31 and June 1.

The IMD further stated that the rainfall has been recorded at many places in the last 24 hours, adding that while the maximum temperature was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature remained around 26 degrees Celsius in multiple districts. The weather department has also advised the residents to limit their outings and stay updated.

Apart from this, the IMD also stated that Bihar, Bengal, and Assam are also likely to receive rainfall in the upcoming few days. While providing details, the weather department also stated that several districts of Bihar, including Kishanganj, Begusarai, Nalanda, Madhubani, Purnia, Araria, Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Sheikhpura, Katihar, Kishanganj, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Muzzaffarpur, Vaishali, and Banka, are expected to receive rainfall till June 4.
