J-K News:  A landmine explosion in the Rajouri area of Jammu and Kashmir today, January 14, injured six soldiers. The incident happened in Nowshera's forward areas. The explosion occurred at approximately 10:45 AM, when one of the soldiers unintentionally stepped on a landmine, according to news agency PTI. The injured have been taken to a hospital, where their health is reportedly stable.

As a preventative measure against infiltration, landmines are frequently placed across the forward regions of Jammu and Kashmir.

Officials also revealed that heavy rains can occasionally relocate these mines, which are intended to prevent infiltrators, raising the possibility of unintentional explosions.

This terrible incident comes after another recent accident in the Bandipore district of Jammu and Kashmir. On January 4, an Army truck went off the road and plunged down a hill close to the Sadar Koot Payen district, killing four troops and injuring three more.

The vehicle was going around a steep curve when the collision happened. Numerous injured people are still in severe condition.
