Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau did not respond to questions on India rejecting his allegations that the country's agents were involved in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The allegations prompted a sharp reaction from the Indian government, which refuted the claims of the Canadian Prime Minister and also expelled a senior embassy official from the country in response to a similar action by the North American country.

Trudeau was in the United Nations Headquarters to attend the high-level 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly when a Press Trust of India correspondent asked him questions on the issue, to which she only got a silent walk away from the Canadian PM.
According to a PTI report, the correspondent tried to ask the question again at a different place on the same premises but couldn't elicit any response from Trudeau who walked away, surrounded by his security detail.

Earlier on Thursday, India decided to stop the visa services to the country amid the high-voltage diplomatic furore going on after the accusations made by Canada. On Wednesday, India issued a warning to its citizens residing in Canada and those planning to visit, urging them to be extremely vigilant due to the increasing incidents of anti-India activities and politically sanctioned hate crimes in the North American nation. This advisory comes amid escalating tensions following the killing of a Khalistani separatist leader, which has the potential to escalate into a significant diplomatic dispute.
Earlier this week, Justin Trudeau made serious allegations in the country's parliament of the involvement of Indian agents in the killing of one of its citizens, Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Najjar, 45, was the chief of the banned terror outfit Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF).
