Kangana Ranaut Subhash Chandra Bose: Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leader K.T. Ramarao on Friday took a swipe at Bollywood actor and Bharatiya Janata Party's Lok Sabha polls candidate on Himachal Pradesh's Mandi seat, Kangana Ranaut, after a viral video showed her referring to the revered freedom fighter Subhash Chandra Bose as the country's "first Prime Minister." The BRS leader while taking a jibe at the 'Manikarnika' actor, asked "Where these people graduate from?"
KTR, the national vice president of the KCR-led party took to the microblogging website 'X' to criticise Kangana, he asked: "One BJP candidate from North says Subhas Chandra Bose was our first PM!! Another BJP leader from the South says Mahatma Gandhi was our PM!! Where did all these people graduate from?"

A controversy erupted after the actor-cum-politician made a startling remark during a television interview, where she had made a remark on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, referring to him as the first Prime Minister of India.
"Tell me one thing, when we got independence, where did India's first PM Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose go?" she had said.
Soon after the video went viral, many opposition leaders took jibes at Kangana with Congress leader Supriya Shrinate saying, "Don't take her lightly - she will go ahead in the list of BJP leaders".
Kangana Ranaut also sparked a controversy in the past when she asserted that India truly gained independence after Narendra Modi came to power as Prime Minister in 2014.
Recently, on March 24th, Kangana Ranaut was announced as one of the 111 candidates nominated by the BJP for the Lok Sabha elections.
Expressing her support for the BJP and PM Modi on Instagram, she stated her pride in joining the party."My beloved Bharat and Bhartiya Janta's party Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have always had my unconditional support, today the national leadership of BJP has announced me as their Lok Sabha candidate from my birthplace Himachal Pradesh, Mandi (constituency).
