KS Alagiri’s controversial remarks surfaced while reacting to a query about an earlier comment made by Kangana Ranaut. The actress had alleged that women activists could be hired to join protests for just Rs 100. Defending his words, the senior Congress leader said Ranaut often speaks with arrogance and reminded that she had once been slapped by a CISF constable.

Criticising the BJP MP, the Congress leader said, “Kangana Ranaut has made such loose talk many times. Once, when she was at the Delhi airport and a woman CRPF personnel slapped her, she later said it was because she had made derogatory remarks. When she comes to this side (south), you should slap her without forgetting about it."

Kangana Remark On Farmers Protest 2020

The incident traces back to the 2020 farmers’ protest, during which Ranaut posted a tweet targeting 73-year-old farmer activist Mohinder Kaur. In her post on X, she mistakenly identified Kaur as Bilkis Bano of Shaheen Bagh and suggested that women like her could be paid to attend demonstrations for a nominal sum. This led to accusations of defamation against the actress.

In another controversy last year, Ranaut faced an altercation at Chandigarh airport, where a CISF constable named Kulwinder Kaur slapped and abused her during a security check. Reports indicated the constable was angered by Ranaut’s stand on the farmers’ agitation. Following the incident, the constable was suspended, and an FIR was registered against her.
