Bollywood actor and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kangana Ranaut, who is currently visiting and interacting with the flood-affected residents in her Lok Sabha constituency, Mandi in Himachal Pradesh, made a peculiar remark while recounting her own hardships.
In a viral post on X (formerly Twitter), Ranaut can be heard saying that her restaurant in Himachal earned only Rs 50 in a day, despite her having to pay Rs 15 lakh in salaries.
Here’s What Kangana Ranaut Said
“Imagine what I must be going through...I also have a restaurant here. Yesterday, I only did ₹50 worth of business. I have salaries of ₹15 lakh to pay. Please understand my pain too, I am human as well,” BJP MP Ranaut said.

In the viral video, Ranaut is seen interacting with a woman who appeared to be questioning the BJP MP about the flood situation in Himachal Pradesh. Instead of directly addressing her concerns, she urged the woman to understand her struggles, recounting how her restaurant had suffered financial losses.
Earlier this year, the BJP MP announced the opening of her first cafe, ‘The Mountain Story’ in Manali.
Protest Against Kangana Ranaut During Manali Visit
Kangana Ranaut reportedly faced criticism during her visit to the rain-affected Patlikuhal area in Manali. The locals expressed their resentment towards the BJP MP by waving black flags and shouting slogans, news agency PTI reported.
Slogans such as “Go back Kangana, you are late” were heard as the actor-turned-MP visited parts of Himachal Pradesh to assess the flood damage and meet the affected residents.
