The lawyer has claimed that the high-end car was being driven by Shivam's driver Mohan, describing the incident as an accident. Speaking to news agency ANI, Shivam's lawyer said, "The hearing proceedings will be held tomorrow. Shivam was not driving; his driver, Mohan, was. This is an accident case. When he was not driving, then there can be no case against him".

According to the CCTV footage, Shivam’s five bouncers can be seen running to protect him even before the Lamborghini comes to a stop. The bouncers also open the doors and try to get Shivam out, according to an NDTV report.
