Karnataka Bike Taxi Ban: The auto fare in Bengaluru has reportedly increased significantly after the bike taxis were banned in Karnataka after directives from the high court. The commuters stated that there was a sudden surge in the auto fare after the ban was implemented on Monday. While providing details, the commuters stated that the price on certain routes increased by Rs 10 to 70 in the past three days, reported Deccan Herald. Earlier on June 15, the Bike Taxi Association urged the government to reconsider the decision to ban the bike taxi services, stating that the decision will massively affect the commuters of the silicon city.
