Karnataka: A Class 10 student was allegedly asked to strip and dance, and was subjected to sexual assault over several days in the Bannerghatta area of Bengaluru, police said. The incident took place on Wednesday in a hostel room at a private school on the outskirts of Bengaluru.
Soon after the incident, the victim’s father filed a complaint against the five students, the school principal and the hostel warden. The Bannerghatta police are investigating the case.
What Led To The Shocking Incident?
According to the police, the victim was sexually assaulted over several days at a private school hostel in Bengaluru. The victim was allegedly forced to strip, dance and was beaten with an iron hanger. The incident occurred between September 3 and 6 when the minor was sexually assaulted by the Class 12 students for four days.

The victim, who was a newly admitted student, was assaulted by a group of senior students from the second year of Pre-University (Class 12), news agency IANS reported.
The victim’s parents stated that they had initially reported the harassment and ragging to the school principal and hostel warden. However, no action was taken, forcing the student’s parents to register a formal police complaint against the students, principal and hostel warden.
Following the complaint, an FIR was lodged against the five students, along with the school principal and the hostel warden, for negligence in acting. The Bannerghatta police are investigating the case, and further details are awaited.
Earlier, on June 25, a similar incident was reported from Bengaluru, where a nursing student was allegedly raped by the owner of a paying guest (PG) after she confessed to a theft. The accused, identified as 35-year-old Ravi Teja Reddy, the owner of the PG facility, has been arrested by the police.
