In a strange and fatal incident, a man killed his friend after he demanded extra pieces of chicken during a wedding party in the Belagavi district of Karnataka. The incident occurred during the post-wedding dinner, where a 30-year-old victim was stabbed to death after he asked for more chicken. 

Vinod Malashetti, resident of Yaragatti taluka, attended a wedding celebration hosted by his friend Abhishek Koppad, who had recently gotten married and threw a wedding dinner party at his farm on Sunday.

According to a report by NDTV, Vinod demanded more chicken from Vittal Harugopp, who was serving the food, arguing that the serving was very small. Vinod’s remark about serving portions of chicken led to the verbal altercation between the two, which later turned violent. 

Vittal allegedly stabbed Vinod in a fit of rage with a kitchen knife used for chopping veggies. Vinod died on the spot due to the excessive bleeding, the report added. 

Currently, the investigation is underway as cops have registered the case under related sections. 

In a different but similar case, two friends stabbed each other to death in Delhi after a fight turned violent. The tragic incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Tilak Nagar police station.

Authorities confirmed that the deceased were identified as Sandeep and Arif, both residents of Khyala’s B Block. The two lived with their families on the same street and were known to be close friends.
