Karnataka Premium Prices Of Liquor Reduced: The prices of premium liquor in Karnataka have been slashed, announced the state government on Tuesday, bringing relief to the revenue losses the state suffered. The prices, which came in immediate effect from Tuesday, are done to make the expensive brands pocket-friendly.
The initiative came in the wake of the losses faced by the state due to increasing prices of premium liquor. The rates of premium liquor had been revised recently, leading to consumers buying it from other border states where the cost of the premium alcohol was lower. Taking note of the same, the Karnataka government announced a slash in the price of premium liquor.
