Bengaluru Weather: Bengaluru is likely to witness rain and possible thundershowers today, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The forecast suggests partly cloudy skies with brief spells of rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds. A yellow alert has been issued for the city, warning residents of possible thunderstorms, lightning and strong winds.
Light rain was recorded over the weekend and this wet weather is predicted to persist until Tuesday. The IMD indicated that rainfall will continue across many areas of Karnataka until May 11, with an anticipated increase in rain intensity from May 7 after a brief two-day pause.

Karnataka Weather: Yellow Alert
Districts in Karnataka, including Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Tumkur, Chitradurga, and Hassan, are under yellow alerts for the coming days. Rainfall is expected in various regions such as Dakshina Kannada, Belgaum, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Bidar, Dharwad, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Gadag, Koppal, Raichur, Yadgir, Bellary, Vijayapura, Bangalore Rural, Bangalore City, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Chamanarajanagar, Davangere, Hassan, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, Ramanagara, Kodagu, Shivamogga, Tumkur, Vijayanagar.
Bengaluru Temperature
In Bengaluru, the wet weather is expected to last until May 6, after which partly cloudy conditions will take over. By the end of the week, temperatures could reach a high of 33 degrees Celsius. The likelihood of rain or thundershowers is particularly high on the evening of May 6, prompting commuters and outdoor event attendees to plan ahead.
Between May 7 and 9, the weather is likely to stabilise, resulting in clearer skies and dry conditions. Currently, there are no major warnings or alerts in place, suggesting a calmer weather period.

Karnataka Districts Temperature
On Sunday, Mangaluru experienced rainfall, while Kalaburagi recorded the highest maximum temperature in the state at 42.0 degrees Celsius. In Bengaluru, temperatures varied, with HAL reporting a high of 32.6 degrees Celsius and a low of 20.1 degrees Celsius. Other areas, including KIAL and GKVK, recorded maximum temperatures of 34.3 and 33.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.
