Bengaluru Weather: Winter has set in early across Karnataka, with temperatures dipping sharply even as the recent spell of heavy rainfall has come to an end. People across the state are experiencing colder mornings and evenings, and the chill is expected to increase further over the next few days. In Bengaluru, the cold weather has already become noticeable, with cloudy skies observed throughout the day.

IMD Forecast: Rain Likely In Bengaluru Today

Despite the drop in rainfall across most districts, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Bengaluru may receive rain today. The anticipated showers are likely to affect weekend plans for many residents. The IMD has also said that the city will remain cloudy through the day and colder conditions are expected to intensify towards the evening. Morning hours may see fog, cold winds and low visibility.

According to the forecast, wind speeds in Bengaluru will be around 10 kmph. The maximum temperature is likely to settle at 27 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 16 degrees Celsius. The department added that the city may face extremely cold weather over the next two days as temperatures continue to decline.

Rainfall Pattern Across Karnataka

While many parts of the state have shifted from rain to dry weather, some regions may still see light to moderate showers. The IMD has said that temperatures statewide are expected to fall gradually over the next three to four days.

Coastal districts such as Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Kasaragod are likely to receive scattered light rain. In the Malnad belt including Uttara Kannada, Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan and Shivamogga, normal rain is expected in the evening.

Dry Weather In North Interior Karnataka

Districts in the North Interior region, including Belagavi, Bidar, Vijayapura, Bagalkot, Haveri, Dharwad, Ballari, Raichur and Yadgir, are likely to experience dry conditions for the next few days.
