Bengaluru Weather: Bengaluru is expected to receive heavy rain with thunderstorms today, May 6, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). A yellow alert has been issued for the city, warning of rain, lightning and thunderstorm activity. The maximum temperature is likely to stay between 34 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius during the day.

Rainfall has reduced across most parts of Karnataka since May 5, but Bengaluru and nearby areas are still expected to experience showers. The IMD forecasts that weather will remain cloudy in several parts of the state and that rainfall activity could increase after May 9.

Karnataka Weather: Rainfall Likely In THESE Districts

Dry conditions are likely to continue today in districts like Uttara Kannada, Dakshina Kannada, and Udupi. However, rainfall is expected in several other districts including Bidar, Kalaburagi, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru Urban, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysuru and Ramanagara.

Bengaluru Weather Forecast Till May 11

In Bengaluru, the impact of Monday’s rain may continue through the week. While skies are expected to remain partly cloudy after May 6, the IMD has not issued any significant rain forecast beyond May 7 for the city. Between May 7 and May 11, weather is likely to be more stable, with only slight fluctuations in temperature.

Bengaluru Temperature

The minimum temperature in Bengaluru is expected to stay around 21 degrees Celsius while the maximum may hover close to 33 degrees Celsius during this period. Light rain or thundershowers may occur in the evening or night on May 6, but it is likely to be brief.

Karnataka: Dry Weather Likely In THESE Districts

In Karnataka, dry weather is expected in Tumkur, Shimoga, Chikkaballapur, Bellary, Vijayapura, and other northern districts. Kalaburagi recorded the highest temperature at 41.2 degrees Celsius on Monday.
