Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday stated that several districts of Karnataka are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next three to four days. While several districts are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall, the Northern districts are likely to witness heavy rainfall, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds. The continuous rainfall is likely to provide relief from the heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius; however, it might also lead to issues like waterlogging in multiple cities. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.
While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Udupi, Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Bidar, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura, and Yadgir, are likely to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall till September 27. Apart from this, heavy rainfall is expected in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada districts from September 27. The IMD clarified that the rain is expected to intensify on September 27, 28, and 29 in multiple districts, including Kodagu, Hassan, and Chikkamagaluru.

However, the continuous rainfall is also likely to lead to waterlogging in multiple areas.
