Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that several districts of Karnataka are set to witness a drop in temperature in the upcoming few days. However, the weather department also stated that some of the coastal districts are also expected to receive light to moderate rain, along with thunderstorms and lightning. The capital city, Bengaluru, is also likely to witness light rain on Sunday; however, the weather of the tech city will remain dry for the next few days. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid inconveniences.
While providing details, the weather department stated that several districts, including Belgaum, Bidar, Vijayapura, Bengaluru city, Bengaluru rural, Mandya, Mysore, Chikkamagaluru, and Shivamogga, are likely to witness a sharp drop in temperature in the upcoming days. However, the IMD also stated that the coastal regions of the Mangalore, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada districts are likely to witness light rain. It further stated that the minimum temperature in these districts is expected to be calculated between 17 and 19 degrees Celsius.

Bengaluru is also expected to witness a cold wave and mist, especially in the morning hours, leading to inconveniences. The IMD also stated that the commuters are likely to face problems in the early hours due to the lowered visibility. The residents of the tech city are also set to witness a sharp drop in the temperature in the upcoming days. While the maximum temperature is likely to be calculated at 28 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 17 degrees Celsius.

The weather department has stated that the continuous rainfall in the coastal regions is likely to lead to waterlogging in the lower regions. Apart from Karnataka, several other states, including Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana, are also likely to witness a drop in the temperature.
