Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday stated that several districts of Karnataka are likely to witness light to heavy rain for the next few days. The weather department stated that while the coastal regions are expected to receive thunderstorms and gusty winds along with heavy rainfall, the other parts are also likely to witness light to moderate rainfall. The continuous rainfall is set to provide relief from the scorching heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) stated that the interior districts are likely to witness heavy rainfall on September 10. "Scattered light to moderate rain is likely across the state, with scattered heavy rains accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds likely in interior districts on September 10," KSNDMC stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter). The excessive rainfall in some parts is also likely to lead to issues like waterlogging and power outages in multiple regions.
