Karnataka Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday stated that several districts of Karnataka are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next three to four days. The weather department stated that the coastal districts are also expected to receive thunderstorms and gusty winds along with heavy rain. The continuous rainfall is likely to lead to issues like waterlogging and power outages in several regions. However, the IMD also clarified that the intensity is expected to reduce after October 16, providing major relief to the residents. It further advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

Karnataka Weather Forecast Till October 15

October 13—The weather department stated that Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts are expected to witness heavy rainfall on Monday. It asserted that several districts, including Kolar, Ramanagara, Chamarajanagar, and Chikkamagaluru, are set to witness heavy rainfall, along with thunderstorms. Apart from this, moderate rainfall is likely at a few places in Bangalore (Rural), Bangalore (Urban), Chikkaballapur, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysore, and Tumkur districts.

October 14- Light to moderate rainfall is likely in multiple districts, including Raichur, Bellary, Chamarajanagar, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Davangere, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysore, Ramanagara, Shivamogga, Vijayanagar, Yadgir, and Koppal. The IMD further stated that heavy rain is expected in the Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Tumkur, Bangalore (Rural), and Bangalore (Urban) districts of South Interior Karnataka.

October 15- The IMD stated that light to moderate rainfall is likely at some places in the Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada districts. While providing details, it stated that light to moderate rain is expected in several districts, including Bagalkot, Belgaum, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalburgi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura, and Yadgir.

The weather department has also advised the fishermen to follow the guidelines and maintain a distance from the water bodies for the next few days to avoid inconveniences.
