Bihar Election 2025: With just a few weeks remaining in the much-hyped Bihar Assembly election, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is likely to announce its seat-sharing formula today. The Central Election Committee of the BJP, which includes Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top party leaders, is also likely to hold a meeting to finalise the names. Earlier on Saturday, senior party leaders, including Home Minister Amit Shah and party president JP Nadda, held a meeting with party leaders and those of the allies to finalise the candidates for the polls.
BJP state unit chief Dilip Jaiswal, while talking to the reporters, indicated that the announcement is expected on Sunday. Jaiswal assured that all the partners of the ruling alliance have agreed to the final formula, adding that there is a "firm unity" in the alliance. "All is well in the NDA and the seat share of the allies will be announced today or by tomorrow at 11 am," Jaiswal told the reporters. "Everything has been decided in the NDA. The NDA is moving forward with firm unity. All is well," he added.

Apart from this, Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary also stated that all the "allies are happy" with the seat-sharing. "Nobody has any kind of resentment. Everyone has expressed their views… all are happy," Choudhary stated. While the seat-sharing formula has been finalised with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar-led JDU and Chirag Paswan's LJP, the discussion is ongoing with the other two allies—Hindustan Awam Morcha (HAM) and Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) chief Upendra Kushwaha, reported PTI, citing sources.
As per the reports, the JDU is likely to contest 101-102 seats, while the BJP is expected to contest one less seat than the JDU. The election in Bihar is scheduled to take place in two phases on November 6 and 11, and the results will be announced on November 11.
