Beypore International Water Fest 2025: The Beypore International Water Fest's fourth season, which will feature a number of thrilling events and attractions, begins today, January 4, in Kozhikode. In addition to a kite festival and a stunning drone show, the two-day event will include several water sports competitions, such as sailing regattas, sea kayak races, country boat races, wing foiling, white water kayaking, sit-on-top kayaking, and bamboo rafting. There will be musical acts to enhance the joyous atmosphere.

Together with the local government and the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), the state tourism department organises the water festival. At least 750 police officers, including Inspectors and Assistant Commissioners, have been sent from Kasaragod to Thrissur to maintain safety and security.

Major Attractions

International Kite Fest:  The International Kite Festival, organised by Kerala Tourism and DTPC in collaboration with the One India Kite Team, will take place at Beypore Beach on January 4 and 5 from 2 to 7 PM. The competitions are organised into six categories:

  • Indian traditional train kites
  • Modern kites with special shapes
  • Pilot kites
  • Sports kites
  • Round kites
  • LED kites

Air Force Air Show Training Display:  The skies over Beypore were filled with wonder as the Air Force performed a spectacular training spectacle. Three helicopters from the Southern Air Command in Thiruvananthapuram took part in the event. On Friday, the Great Sarang helicopter unit of the 43 Wing Air Force, located in Sulur, Coimbatore, conducted training shows over Beypore Marina Beach at 11 AM and 3 PM. The main Air Force air show was scheduled at 3.30 PM.

Beypore Water Fest Parking Rules

Vehicles won't be allowed in the Marina Beach area due to the expectedly high crowds. There are designated parking lots set up in a number of places:

  • Corporation Mini Stadium for visitors arriving via B.C. Road
  • Beypore GVHS School Ground for those coming from Kozhikode Vattakinar
  • Silk and Kovilakam lands near the port for vehicles reaching Beypore Angadi
  • Kallingal Ground for arrivals via Payyanakkal OM Road
