Christmas, New Year Special Buses:  Additional services will be offered by Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) throughout the Christmas and New Year holidays. In order to satisfy the demand for festive travel, the state government issued this directive.

The daily 48 services, which normally cover 90 buses, to key cities like Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mysuru will now include 38 additional buses thanks to KSRTC. Four buses will serve the Chennai route, and 34 buses will be set aside for Bengaluru as part of the expanded services.

This is in addition to the special interstate service to Sabarimala.

More Bus Services In Kerala

As the demand for travel within Kerala continues to rise, KSRTC has set up extra services on routes like Thiruvananthapuram-Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram-Kannur. These popular routes now have 24 additional buses thanks to a government directive.

Eight buses, including four Volvo LF buses on the Thiruvananthapuram-to-Kozhikode route and four buses bound for Ernakulam, will be run by KSRTC from Kozhikode. Additionally, 16 buses will operate the Thiruvananthapuram - Kannur and Thiruvananthapuram - Kozhikode routes. These buses will include low-floor buses, Minnal buses, Deluxe buses, and Superfast buses.

Online Reservations Based On Demand

KSRTC will run eight daily services to accommodate passenger demand and online reservations will be made available in accordance with passenger volume. On routes such as Kottarakkara-Kozhikode, Adoor-Kozhikode, Kumily-Kozhikode, Ernakulam-Kannur, and Ernakulam-Kozhikode, additional services will also be offered. There will be on-demand fast passenger services from stations in Kollam, Kottarakkara, Kottayam, Thrissur, and Kozhikode.
