After a purported video showing employees of a private marketing firm in Kerala crawling on the floor sparked major outrage, a new twist to the story has emerged as several employees of the firm have claimed that the allegations of harassment were fake.

Earlier, a video surfaced where an employee was seen walking on his knees like a dog with a leash around his neck. The incident triggered criticism with calls for a probe. Taking swift action, the police swung into action, while a probe was also ordered by the state Labour Ministry.

It was claimed that the employees were made to lick coins in the crawling position as a punishment for not meeting sales targets.

However, as per at least two local media reports, some employees of the same marketing firm - Keltra- have repudiated harassment claims.

They claimed that the video was allegedly circulated to tarnish the reputation of the company. Meanwhile, NDTV reported that the police, too, have found the video to be deceptive.

Reportedly, former manager Manaf had some issues with the company's owner. He had recorded the video with some new trainees in the firm by claiming that it was part of their training.

As per a Mathrubhumi report, a woman who works at the concerned firm has denied facing such experiences, adding that she feels safe at her workplace. Meanwhile, another employee claimed that there are no sales targets in the company, and their salary is commission-based.

Moreover, the man seen in a torturous position in the video also told police that it was shot to settle a dispute between other employees, as per a local media outlet.

He claimed that he was new and agreed to the video, which was made public after managers had a dispute, leading to disciplinary action against some employees, he claimed.
