Kerala Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for several districts across Kerala, forecasting isolated heavy rainfall over the next five days. The IMD clarified that the yellow alert indicates the likelihood of isolated heavy rainfall, with expected precipitation ranging from 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm within 24 hours.

Residents and travellers are urged to stay alert and take necessary precautions. The heavy showers may cause localized flooding, landslides, or disruptions to road traffic in vulnerable areas. It is advised that people avoid venturing out in risky conditions, particularly in flood-prone and hilly regions.

The IMD has identified the following districts as being under yellow alert for the upcoming days:

November 22 (Saturday) & November 23 (Sunday): Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam
