Kerala Weather: A high wave and sea erosion alert has been issued along the Kerala coast by the Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS), warning of waves reaching 2.2 to 3.5 metres. The advisory remains in effect until 11:30 PM on June 20, 2025. Authorities have urged fishermen and coastal residents to stay vigilant, as rough seas may damage infrastructure and pose risks to lives and property.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also forecast adverse weather conditions across the state, including isolated heavy rainfall and strong winds reaching up to 60 kmph. These conditions are expected to continue over the next five days. A Yellow Alert has been issued for several districts, highlighting the risk of localised flooding and wind-related damage.
