Patna Coaching Institute Firing Case: Patna Civil Court has granted bail to Gyan Bindu Coaching Centre director Roshan Anand. This comes a day after his younger brother Prince Yadav died under suspicious circumstances at a hotel in Nepal. Khan Sir expressed grief and shared a video on social media, saying he's ready to provide assisstance to the family. The bail is granted in connection to a firing incident that occurred in front of Educator Faisal Khan's coaching institute on June 2.
After the gun attack, the police arrested Roshan Anand and two of his associates on June 3 and remanded them in judicial custody. The court has stayed the arrest of Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, until June 20.
Khan Sir Reacts To Prince's Death
Educator Khan Sir expressed grief regarding the death of Prince Yadav. Sharing a video clip, he said, "I'm speaking with a very strange heart today. I've received very sad news. Suddenly, I started receiving calls from many people saying that Roshan Sir's brother had died under suspicious circumstances in Nepal. At first, I couldn't believe it. I even scolded them, telling them not to talk nonsense. But when I saw the news myself, the ground beneath my feet slipped away. I can't understand how strange times are taking such a turn."
He added, "Our hearts are broken. What greater sorrow could a family suffer than this? May God give them the strength to get through this difficult time. Our deepest condolences are with the family. We are ready to provide any assistance we can." He added that Prince was already ill and no one had killed him.
Investigations Into Prince's Death
Khan Sir's rival Roshan Anand's brother was found dead at a hotel in Biratnagar, Nepal, on Sunday. The cops have detained five people in connection with the case. When the investigation reached the site, they discovered injuries on Yadav's face. Anti-epilepsy medication was also recovered from the hotel room. Prince's funeral will take place in Saharsa on Monday. Roshan Anand is said to be in attendance.
How Did A Video Clip Flip The Case?
The court proceedings come a week after violence had erupted outside Khan's coaching institute located at Patna's Musallahpur area. The cops claimed that at least 15-20 men vandalised the coaching premises, hurled stones, and beat a security guard identified as Chun Chun.
KGS manager Kanhaiya Kumar Singh made a complaint that some people attacked the coaching centre, damaged property, and "threatened to blow it up". Based on this, the police arrested three people from Gyan Bindu Institute, including Anand.
However, the investigation took a significant turn as police scanned videos that surfaced online. The clips captured two KGS security guards firing outside the institute. The two were subsequently arrested.
Following this, a case was filed against Khan and the two security guards on charges of attempted murder under sections of the Arms Act. However, Khan claimed that the guards opened fire as a part of retaliation.
On the other hand, Anand's counsel argued that Khan's security guard suffered a minor injury and that Anand was not present at the site during the violence.
