Mumbai Weather: Flights to and from Kolkata airport were severely disrupted on Thursday due to dense fog, causing delays of over two hours for passengers. Similar weather-related delays were reported at Leh and Guwahati airports. By 4 pm, at least 28 flights departing from or arriving in Mumbai had been delayed due to fog at airports across India.
Aviation industry officials confirmed that eight flights were impacted on the Kolkata–Mumbai and Mumbai–Kolkata routes. Additionally, four flights each were delayed on the Mumbai–Guwahati and Guwahati–Mumbai routes, while two flights each faced disruptions on the Mumbai–Leh and Leh–Mumbai routes.
Mumbai Weather Update
After a brief period of cooler weather, Mumbai is set to experience another stretch of warm days starting Friday, with daytime temperatures expected to hit 36 degrees Celsius over the weekend.

Following a weekend of temperatures exceeding 35 degrees, the city enjoyed some relief on Wednesday, with cooler conditions. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported that the Santacruz observatory recorded a maximum temperature of 32.2 degrees Celsius, while the Colaba coastal observatory saw a maximum of 31.2 degrees Celsius.
According to the IMD, temperatures will rise to 35 degrees Celsius starting Friday and are likely to exceed 36 degrees Celsius between Saturday and Sunday. The above-normal temperatures are expected to persist for at least the next five days, with no relief below 35 degrees Celsius before January 28.
