Kolkata Metro Update: In a bid to increase the frequency of services for the commuters, the Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation has decided to increase the number of services to 62 (31 UP and 31 Down) from Monday, November 24. Besides the orange line, services have been increased in the Purple and Green lines as well, keeping in mind the commuters who use the metro daily.

Kolkata Metro Update: New Timings 

  • The first metro of the day from Kabi Subhash to Beliaghata will be available at 7:40 am. Currently, the first metro on this route is available at 8 am.

  • From Beliaghata, the first metro will be available for Kabi Subhash at 8:10 am. Currently, the first metro is available at 7:55 am. 

  • The last metro of the day from Kabi Subhash to Beleghata will be available at 8.20 pm. Currently, the last metro on this route is available at 8.05 pm.

  • The last metro service of the day from Beleghata to Kabi Subhash will be available at 8:45 pm. Currently, the metro service on this route is available at 8:05 pm.

Kolkata Metro Update: Orange Line

The Kolkata Metro Orange Line (Line 6) is an operational rapid transit line that currently runs between Kavi Subhash and Beleghata stations. The full line is planned to connect Kavi Subhash in the south to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International (NSCBI) Airport in the northeast. Currently, the Orange line runs a truncated service on a distance of 9.9 km only.
