Kolkata Traffic Advisory: The Kolkata Traffic Police have advised commuters to plan their travel in advance as the Vidyasagar Setu will be closed this Sunday for urgent repair and rehabilitation work.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Kolkata Traffic Police announced that the bridge will be shut from 6 AM to 2 PM on November 23. The shutdown will allow engineers to replace stay and down cables and carry out essential repair work on the bridge.

The temporary shutdown is likely to cause major traffic disruptions across the city, particularly on key arterial routes. Authorities have advised commuters to avoid non-essential travel and opt for alternative routes wherever possible.
