Kolkata Weather:  A few spells of rain are predicted for Kolkata throughout the summer's oppressive heat. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts that on Sunday, Kolkata will likely have a mostly overcast sky with one or two periods of rain or thunderstorms.

The highest temperature is anticipated to be 32 degrees Celsius, while the lowest is forecast to be 27 degrees Celsius. The recorded rainfall over the previous 24 hours was 24 mm, with relative humidity ranging from 70 percent to 85 percent.

The IMD has forecast rain as well as thunderstorms for Kolkata over this week, along with a potential drop in temperature. The city is predicted to see mostly overcast skies with one or two periods of rain or thundershowers on July 22, 23, and 24.

The predicted range for the maximum temperature is 31 to 32 degrees Celsius, while the range that is expected for the lowest temperature is 26 to 27 degrees Celsius.

The IMD website's most recent data indicates that Bengal has been issued a yellow alert for thunderstorms and lightning in certain locations. Purulia, Bankura, Paschim Medinipur, Jhargram, Purba Medinipur, and a few other locations are among them.
