Land For Job Case: The Rouse Avenue Court on Monday deferred the order on framing a charge in a land for job corruption case. The Delhi court has listed the matter for December 4, providing a major relief to former Bihar Chief Ministers Lalu Yadav, Rabri Devi, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav amid the ongoing Bihar Assembly election. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed charge sheets against the Lalu family and other accused persons in the case. The case involves alleged irregularities in the allotment of state government land in exchange for the jobs in the Railways.

The central agency has asserted that the government lands were used by the Lalu family for personal gains, adding that the land should have been utilised for the public good. Earlier on September 11, the court had reserved its order on the charge in land for the job. Maninder Singh, Lalu Yadav's senior counsel, argued that the whole case was politically motivated to defame the RJD leader. He further stated that there were no evidences to suggest that the candidates were given the jobs in exchange of land.

Special Judge Vishal Gogne granted bail to the three and noted that they were not arrested during investigation of the case. The court further directed all three accused to surrender their passports. Lalu Yadav's daughter and party MP Misa Bharti was also present with them in the court.
