Nawada Election 2025: Voting for the 18th Legislative Assembly in Bihar is scheduled to take place on Tuesday under phase 2 in Nawada district. A total of 1,721,806 voters will exercise their franchise across the district’s five assembly constituencies. This includes 901,228 male voters, 820,475 female voters, and 103 Mangalmukhi voters, reflecting the district’s diverse and inclusive electorate.

Of the total voters, about 48.33 per cent are young voters, whose active participation is expected to play a decisive role in determining the victory or defeat of candidates.

At the same time, the 2,79,894 elderly voters, men and women with vast experience, will also contribute significantly to the democratic process. Their participation will not only add depth to the electoral decision-making.

55 Candidates In 5 Assembly Constituencies

55 candidates have entered the electoral fray in the district's five assembly constituencies. The Hisua assembly constituency has the highest number of contests, with 14 candidates contesting. 12 candidates are contesting in the Nawada constituency, and 11 in Rajauli. Meanwhile, 9 candidates each will be contesting in the Govindpur and Warisliganj assembly constituencies.

This time, 13 women candidates are contesting the Bihar Assembly elections, the highest number since 2000. The Nawada constituency has the highest number of women candidates, with four hoping for voter support.

While three women are contesting in Govindpur, two women candidates each are representing half the population in Rajauli, Hisua, and Warisaliganj.

Voting At 2,169 Polling Stations At 7 AM

2,169 polling stations have been set up in the district for the assembly elections. The booths will provide electricity, water, and toilet facilities, along with facilities for voters to keep their mobile phones.

Voting will begin at all polling stations at 7 am on Tuesday. Voting will continue until 5 pm at 399 booths in Rajauli and 404 booths in Govindpur assembly constituencies.

Voters will be able to cast their votes until 6 pm at 1,366 polling stations in Nawada, Hisua, and Warisaliganj. Several restrictions will be in place within a 100 metre radius of the polling station. Section 163 of the Indian National Security Code (BNSS) will be in effect. Action will be taken even if more than five people gather at one place. Vehicles will also be prohibited within this radius.
