Link Aadhar With IRCTC: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has rolled out major changes in its ticket booking rules. Now, if your IRCTC account is not linked with your Aadhaar card, you cannot book tickets during morning peak demand slots.

What’s The New Railway Rule?

Last month, Indian Railways introduced a strict new policy stating that only passengers with an Aadhaar-verified IRCTC account can book train tickets between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, the peak morning demand window.

If your IRCTC account is not linked with Aadhaar, you’ll have to wait after 10:00 AM to book.

Railways says this will stop fake bookings by agents and bots. During these two high-demand hours, only verified users get priority, making it easier and fairer for genuine travellers to grab confirmed tickets.

How To Link Aadhaar With Your IRCTC Account?

Follow these 5 simple steps:

-Visit www.irctc.co.in and log in to your account.

-Go to the ‘My Profile’ section.

-Click on ‘Authenticate Aadhaar’.

-Enter your Aadhaar number or Virtual ID.

-An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, enter it and click Submit.
