Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Thursday sent Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh to the custody of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) till October 10 in connection with the money laundering case linked with the now-scrapped Delhi Excise Policy.
Soon after the court order, Singh said, “False and baseless allegations, we are not scared, we will fight back."

The AAP MP was produced before the Rouse Avenue Court in Delhi after he was arrested by the ED after a nine-hour search of his residence in a money laundering case linked to the investigation into the alleged liquor case.
The ED had sought a 10-day remand of Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh in connection with the case, stating it wanted to confront the AAP MP with the digital evidence against him in the case.
"We have to extract digital data, further, he needs to be interrogated with other persons,” ED told Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court.
Appearing for the ED, Special Public Prosecutor Naveen Matta said that the probe agency found transactions worth Rs 2 crore in two tranches, and AAP leader Manish Sisodia's close aide Dinesh Arora confirmed from Singh over the phone regarding receipt of the amount.
Matta further told the court that as many as 239 places have been searched including raids at the Singh's residence on Wednesday in connection with the case. He further said that Arora’s employee gave Rs 2 crore to Sarvesh, an employee of the AAP leader at his residence.
“A total of 239 places have been searched, yesterday a search happened at his home. The employee of Dinesh Arora gave Rs 2 cr cash at Sanjay Singh's residence. He also says Rs 1 cr, he picked from Indospirits,” hetold the court.
However, Sanjay Singh’s lawyer opposed the remand plea of ED and said “demanding 10 days is an absurd position for someone who is not involved in the case at all.”
Meanwhile, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday said that nothing will come out in the investigation against party leader Sanjay Singh in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case and said the ruling government is putting false cases on the AAP leader.
"Nothing comes out in the investigation. This is a waste of time for the investigative agencies. The country will not progress by putting false cases on people," he said.
