Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released a list of 40 star campaigners who will canvas for the party in Gujarat for the upcoming Lok Sabha election and state Assembly by-polls. The list contains the names of BJP bigwigs like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party chief JP Nadda, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and his Assam counterpart Himanta Biswa Sarma.

As per the list, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, state BJP chief CR Patil, and fomer CM Vijay Rupani have also been appointed the BJP's star campaigners in Gujarat. Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai, union ministers Smriti Irani and Nitin Gadkari, Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma and Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis are some other high-profile leaders who feature on the newly released list.

    • The 2024 Lok Sabha election and by-polls to the state Assembly will be held simultaneously in Gujarat. The voting for all the 26 Lok Sabha seats across Gujarat will be held in a single phase on May 7. The 2024 Lok Sabha election will be conducted in seven phases across the country. The counting is scheduled to take place on June 4.
