Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to commence the Bharatiya Janata Party's Lok Sabha election campaign in Uttarakhand by addressing a rally in Rudrapur on Tuesday. This rally marks the beginning of the BJP's electoral efforts in both Uttarakhand and Rajasthan, with the Prime Minister scheduled to address another public meeting in Kotputli, Jaipur Rural, later in the day.

Strict security measures have been put in place by the police administration.

Rudrapur is situated in the Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand and falls within the Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar constituency.

All five Lok Sabha seats in Uttarakhand, presently held by the BJP since 2014, will witness electoral contests in the first phase scheduled for April 19. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, along with BJP candidates and state officials, will be in attendance at the event.

Following his program in Uttarakhand, PM Modi will proceed to Rajasthan where he will address a rally in Kotputli. This marks Modi’s first visit to Rajasthan after the announcement of polling schedule by the Election Commission of India.

CM Dhami, one of the BJP's star campaigners for the Lok Sabha polls, has been actively engaging in roadshows and public meetings in support of party candidates. The Prime Minister's rally in Rudrapur is expected to further galvanize the party's campaign efforts.

"We are lucky that he has chosen the primarily agricultural and industrial town of Rudrapur to begin his campaign from. We hope the BJP will win all the five seats in Uttarakhand again with an even bigger margin than in 2019," Dhami said.

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally, BJP President JP Nadda is set to kickstart his tour of Uttarakhand, addressing public meetings in key constituencies across the state. Nadda's tour will commence just a day after the PM's rally, with scheduled stops in Pithoragarh, Vikasnagar, and Haridwar.

In Pithoragarh, Nadda will address a public meeting under the reserved Almora Lok Sabha seat. Then, he will proceed to Vikasnagar, where he will engage with voters under the Tehri Garhwal constituency, rallying support for BJP candidates. On April 4, Nadda is slated to hold a roadshow in Haridwar.
