Lok Sabha Polls 2024: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) which has been tackling political turmoil after its national convenor Arvind Kejriwal got arrested, on Monday launched a "Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se" campaign to seek public support for the party and the Delhi CM, who is currently in judicial custody in the Tihar jail till April 15. As part of the campaign, Pathak said, AAP leaders and workers will visit the four Lok Sabha constituencies from where it has fielded candidates.
AAP Delhi convener Gopal Rai asked people to respond to "dictatorship" with their votes.
Addressing a press conference, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak said, "Kejriwal was arrested as part of a big conspiracy. It is the first time that a sitting chief minister has been arrested during the Lok Sabha polls. We are launching the campaign 'Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se' and we want you to empower Kejriwal."

"You all saw how Prime Minister Modi conspired and sent Arvind Kejriwal to jail to stop him from campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections. Arvind Kejriwal ji fought for the people of Delhi and did everything that a Chief Minister should do," he added.
The AAP is contesting the Lok Sabha polls in alliance with the Congress. The AAP has fielded candidates on four seats -- New Delhi, East Delhi, South Delhi and West Delhi. The Congress is contesting the remaining three seats.
Arvind Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with alleged money laundering charges linked with the now-scrapped Delhi liquor policy. Earlier this month AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh was released on bail. Singh had been lodged in the high-security prison in the national capital since October 13, 2023. He was arrested on October 4 last year in connection with an excise policy-linked money laundering case. He was granted bail by the Supreme Court.
