Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday visited Siliguri in West Bengal and launched multiple development projects and also flagged off a Siliguri-Radhikapur express. The visit comes ahead of the much-awaited Lok Sabha polls. PM Modi launched a scathing attack against the Trinamool Congress (TMC) on the issues of corruption and dynasty politics. Modi accused opposition alliance parties, including the TMC and Congress, of prioritising the development of their families over the welfare of the nation.
Addressing a large gathering, Prime Minister Modi called for the defeat of the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC in West Bengal, stating that the path to remove the corrupt TMC government from power begins with the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

"The road to oust the corrupt TMC government from West Bengal will open from the Lok Sabha polls," PM said.
Highlighting the challenges faced by mothers and sisters across the country, Modi pointed out the importance of basic amenities such as sanitation, free electricity, bank accounts, and tap water to improve their quality of life. He criticised the Left Front and TMC governments for neglecting the basic needs of the people of West Bengal.
"I have seen mothers of our country struggling for basic amenities. That is why I stress on sanitisation, free electricity, bank accounts and tap water to make the lives of our mothers and sisters easier. But here, first, the Left Front and then the TMC government have ignored the basic needs of the people of the state," he said.
Modi accused the TMC of plundering the state and perpetrating corruption by fabricating job cards to embezzle central funds allocated under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
In a scathing attack on dynasty politics, Prime Minister Modi asserted that the TMC prioritises its nephew, referring to TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, while the Congress is solely focused on the interests of the Gandhi family.
"TMC is only bothered about its nephew whereas the Congress is bothered only about the royal family,"
