Lungi Ngidi Injury: The Delhi Traffic Police, in a swift and coordinated move, on Saturday created a green corridor during peak traffic hours to facilitate the immediate transfer of Delhi Capitals pacer Lungi Ngidi to the hospital.

This swift intervention allowed the ambulance carrying Ngidi to bypass the heavy congestion and reach the BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital in about 11 minutes.

Lungi Ngidi Injury

During a high-stakes clash between the Delhi Capitals and the Punjab Kings, Ngidi suffered a frightening head injury. While fielding, he backtracked to attempt a catch but fell, striking the back of his head on the turf.

Given the seriousness of the situation, the match organisers decided to take him to BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital in Rajendra Nagar. He was immediately stretchered off the field and taken away in an ambulance.

Delhi Police Creates Green Corridor

Upon receiving the information, Central Range ACP Traffic Sanjay Singh coordinated with the police control room to establish a green corridor. The traffic police team acted swiftly, clearing the path to allow the ambulance to reach the hospital without any delay.

Ambulance Carrying Angidi Reaches Hospital In 11 Minutes

The speed of Ngidi's transfer from the stadium to the hospital became the focal point of the response. Despite heavy congestion around the Arun Jaitley Stadium, specifically near Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Delhi Gate and other central corridors, seamless coordination between stadium medical staff and traffic authorities allowed the ambulance to reach BLK-Max Super Speciality Hospital in just 11 minutes.

Lungi Ngidi Injury Update

Ngidi is now stable and is expected to be discharged soon from a hospital in Delhi after a scary on-field injury during the IPL match against the Punjab Kings on Saturday.

According to the IPL's official update on X, the 30-year-old complained of headache and neck pain after the incident, but his condition is now stable.

"Lungi Ngidi of Delhi Capitals hit his head on the ground while attempting to take a catch during his team’s match against Punjab Kings. He was shifted to the hospital in an ambulance as he complained of a headache and neck pain. Ngidi is stable and is due to be discharged shortly," the IPL said.
