An army personnel was arrested on Saturday for allegedly raping a woman in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore. The incident occurred at an hotel on AB Road where the accused alleged assaulted the woman and inflicted further physical brutality by inserting a glass into her private parts. The victim immediately reported the crime to the local women's police station. Police have arrested the accused and an investigation is underway.
According to initial reports, the accused, identified as Sanjay Yadav, currently posted in Assam, was blackmailing the woman after making an obscene video of her. He called her to the hotel using threats and sexually abused the woman.
The victim, who is married to a bank employee, arrived at the police station reportedly in severe distress, struggling to walk and bleeding heavily due to the assault. However, the army personnel denied the allegations levelled against him by the woman.

Police stated that the accused army personnel demanded Rs 50,000 from the victim following the rape. The woman later using the ATM excuse managed to escape the crime scene and reported the incident to a women's police station.
Authorities confirmed that the accused is a native of Etawah, Uttar Pradesh and that the two had met several times before, initially encountering each other in a canteen. Police have launched an investigation into the case and further action would be taken accordingly.
