The Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 is set to conclude on the occasion of Mahashivratri, February 26. On the day of its conclusion, devotees are expected to witness a rare planetary alignment when seven planets of the solar system align with each other.
During the Planetary Parade on February 28, 2025, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune and Uranus will align together and will be visible worldwide. The alignment occurs when the planets appear to line up from the Earth’s perspective due to their positions along the ecliptic plane. The event becomes rare as it is not uncommon for a few planets to align together, but watching six or seven planets is.
When And Where To Watch Planetary Parade?
The planetary parade began in January 2025 and will be last visible on February 28. The best time to witness the alignment is around 8.30 PM IST on February 28. While Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn will be visible to the naked eye, viewing Mercury, Uranus and Neptune will require a telescope.
Along with regions of India, the rare celestial event will be observed from the US, Canada and Mexico. To get the best view, one must go far from cities or to the hills.
