Revered spiritual leader and current president of the BAPS Swaminarayan organisation, Mahant Swami Maharaj, arrived at the Akshardham mandir, New Delhi on Thursday evening. The mandir complex was beautifully adorned with flowers and festive decorations, as thousands of devotees gathered to welcome him with great enthusiasm.

Mahant Swami Maharaj, who has inspired the creation of iconic temples such as the BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi and the Akshardham Mandir in Robbinsville, New Jersey, will reside at the Delhi Akshardham Temple from March 19 to April 2.

During his stay, a series of cultural and spiritual programs will be organised, with the highlight being the consecration (Pran Pratishtha) of the 108-foot-tall murti of Neelkanth Varni Maharaj—the youthful yogic form of Bhagwan Swaminarayan—on March 26.

In addition, consecration rituals for murtis destined for temples in Panchkula, Kurukshetra, and Paris will also take place at the Delhi Akshardham Temple during this period.

Devotees will also have the opportunity to participate in a range of special events, including Bal Din, Yuva Din, Mahayagna, and spiritual discourses by learned BAPS swamis. Morning Puja darshan of His Holiness and blessings will also be available. Mahant Swami Maharaj serves as the president and current spiritual guru of the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. BAPS is a global socio-spiritual organisation committed to promoting human values, strengthening family unity, and preserving cultural heritage.
