Maharashtra Accident: In a tragic road accident, six people died and one person got severely injured after a speeding car collided with a motorcycle in Maharashtra's Jalgaon on Tuesday morning. The officials, while providing details, stated that the accident occurred near Londhe Phata in the Amalner region around 7 am on Tuesday. They further stated that the impact of the collision caused panic among the locals, adding that they immediately rushed to the scene.

As per the reports, the family in the car was travelling from Gujarat and was on their way to Maharashtra to attend an engagement ceremony. However, it reportedly lost the balance and collided with the motorcycle coming from the opposite direction near Londhe Phata. The locals stated that the motorcycle, following the collision, further got struck with a bus coming from behind.

The officials stated that among the deceased, four belonged to the people travelling in the car and the other two were on the motorcycle. The deceased were identified as Nandlal Mahajan, Anita Mahajan, Suresh Mahajan, and Nirmala Mahajan, occupants of the car, and Nilesh Tawde and Falguni Bhoi, both occupants of the motorcycle. The car driver was also seriously injured in the accident, the reports suggested.

Earlier last week, at least nine people died and 15 others got severely injured after two vehicles collided in Punjab's Ferozepur district. A pickup vehicle and a tractor-trailer collided near 'Janga Wale Mod', leading to panic among the locals. The officials stated that the injured individuals have been admitted to a nearby hospital, adding that the condition of several passengers remains critical.
